On Friday, February 16th, the City of Hartford opened a new welcome center at the kiosk located on the corner of Main and Asylum Streets in downtown Hartford. Arunan Arulampalam, Hartford Mayor (right), Jordan Polon, Executive Director of Hartford Business Improvement District (left) were there for the opening along with Beth Judd (center), President of Konover Commercial Corporation.
This property, owned by an entity of The Simon Konover Company, has been fully renovated to house the new Hartford Information and Welcome Center. The kiosk boasts bright moulding, a large Hartford map, along with eye-catching photos of attractions, shopping, landmarks and other places of interest in downtown Hartford. Information on activities, places to eat, historic landmarks, directions and more are easily available with a scannable QR code.
