Executive Vice President, Konover Hotel Corporation

As Executive Vice President of Konover Hotel Corporation, Peter H. Mason directs the overall operations of the firm’s hotel portfolio and strategic objectives. Hotel operations and strategic planning have been the focus of Mr. Mason’s 25-year career in the hospitality industry. Prior to Konover, Mr. Mason was Executive Vice President with Royal Host Hotels & Resorts in Calgary, Alberta. During his six years with Royal Host, he managed many departments including Corporate Planning & Development, Acquisitions, Purchasing, Renovations, U.S. Operations, Travelodge Canada, Administration, Marketing, Sales and was also the Company Ombudsman.

Prior joining Royal Host, Mr. Mason was Vice President, Operations for Chartwell Leisure, Inc. in New York, NY, overseeing a portfolio of 100 hotels throughout the U.S. Additionally, Mr. Mason was Vice President, Quality Assurance for Forte Hotels, Inc. responsible for over 450 hotels in North America. During his 16 years with Forte Hotels, he also held positions of Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, General Manager, Regional Manager and Director, Operations.

Mr. Mason graduated with a B.S. in Hotel Administration from the University of New Hampshire in 1980 and earned his Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) designation in 1986.
